Managers and staff in service areas (managers and staffs in service areas):

Persons who work under the titles of directly serving guests and other additional services on board cruise ships, including managers, general managers of service areas, managers of each area service and service staff in service areas.

Crew members  (operators): Persons who work according to the prescribed titles on the vessel, including captain, mate, chief engineer, mate, sailor, mechanic.

Rating of cruise ships for tourist accommodation

Based on architectural reality; technical safety conditions; comfortable equipment; service and service quality; managers and employees of service areas, ship drivers and operators;

The current situation of environmental protection, security, fire prevention and safety, and food hygiene and safety, tourist boats are classified into 5 categories:

1 star, 2 star, 3 star, 4 star and 5 star rating. Criteria for ranking tourist accommodation ships are specified in Articles 4 and 5 of the national standard TCVN 9372:2012 Tourist accommodation ships - Rating.

General requirements

About architectural design

Architectural design is suitable for business requirements, service areas are arranged reasonably and conveniently.

About facilities and amenities

The equipment and facilities of the service areas are fully guaranteed, well-functioning, and of suitable quality for each respective class; Hooked or fixed, ensuring that it does not move when the ship moves.

There is a generator to provide electricity 24/24h for lighting to meet the requirements of each area; have lighting equipment in case of power failure.

There are fresh water storage facilities to ensure sufficient service for guests during the journey.

Ventilation systems in areas are in good working order (natural or forced ventilation, ensuring ventilation).

Having sufficient equipment for technical safety and environmental protection.

Medical equipment: there are medicine cabinets, drugs and common medical instruments.

About service and service quality

Service and quality of service as prescribed for each respective class in Table 1 of Standard national TCVN 9372:2012 Tourist accommodation boat - Rating.

About managers and staff of service areas; sailor

Managers and staff of service areas:

- Be trained professionally, professionally, in foreign languages, in computers suitable for the job;

- Having health suitable to the job requirements, being checked once a year (with a certificate issued by a competent medical facility);

- Ability to swim, save lives, fire, rescue, first aid and know how to use basic fire fighting equipment (with a certificate of general swimming; certificate of training in lifesaving). , lifesaving, first aid and fire prevention issued by competent authorities).

The number of people who know first aid is at least 50% of the total number of managers and employees of service areas.

Sailor:

- Having sufficient qualifications and certificates of expertise in driving and operating suitable vehicles;

- Have enough people according to the minimum safety margin.

Wear the correct dress code of the ship, with name badge on the shirt.
